Join Ottie on a heartwarming adventure as she helps Pip, a shy pufferfish, make new friends! Through Ottie’s journey, children discover how the right words can grab attention, inspire action and make a difference. With engaging storytelling, hands-on activities and fun pitching challenges, they’ll learn to share their ideas clearly, confidently and persuasively!
Our workshops will help kids:
✅ DISCOVER how to grab attention and connect with your audience.
✅ CREATE a compelling 30-second pitch using the Hook, Story, Ask framework.
✅ SPEAK WITH CONFIDENCE using eye contact, pacing and pauses to engage listeners.
Every Ottie Mini Pitch Star will:
1️⃣ Create their very own elevator pitch
2️⃣ Practice presenting their ideas
3️⃣ Gain communication skills and confidence to speak up and make a difference!
4️⃣ An official Ottie Mini Pitch Star certificate
5️⃣ A bunch of fin-tastic friends along the way

About the facilitators:
Cassandra is the founder of OtterHalf, a fractional marketing agency that provides experienced part-time marketing teams to help businesses grow. On weekends, she runs kid-friendly marketing and entrepreneurship workshops. In these workshops, she teaches marketing through games and guided creation — helping kids understand how brands get attention, how to shape ideas for an audience, and how to communicate clearly. She is also a marketing adjunct lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic, and a mum to two children aged 5 and 8.
Sebastian is a media and communications professional with over 25 years of experience in public relations, marketing communications, radio and television. A former radio presenter and Programme Director, he is also an experienced television presenter, event host and educator specializing in digital marketing and content creation. In his workshops, he combines his broadcasting and storytelling expertise with fun, hands-on activities to help children express their ideas, engage their audience and pitch with confidence.
Note:
Each child should come prepared with an idea they would like to share or a positive change they would like to make.
The workshop focuses on building confidence, communicating ideas clearly and encouraging children to speak up for what matters to them.
This is a drop-off session. Parents or guardians may drop off their child at the start of the workshop and return for pick-up at the end.
